Anyone can be affected by a mental health condition. A family member, a friend, a colleague or even yourself.
This course is open to anyone, but it is specifically intended to help employers create a positive mental health culture in the workplace. This course will provide learners with an in-depth understanding of a range of the most common mental health conditions and the skills to act.
Participants of this course can be accredited First Aiders for Mental Health and can be a point of contact in the workplace to help and support those who need it.
This course builds upon the award in ‘Awareness of First Aid for Mental Health’ and develops a comprehensive Mental Health Action Plan that enables participants to provide their peers with complete support and guidance for a suspected condition. Learners will be able to guide them to professional help and aid them as situations arise.
This course also covers the effects of drugs and alcohol and provides learners with the skills and knowledge to help employers establish a positive mental health culture to support their employees in the workplace.
